Over a year in the making, the Bryn Marina video was filmed in time-lapse using still cameras and macro lenses to capture children’s “grow in water” toys as they slowly sprouted and came to life. Sound of Ceres explores the wonders of our living planet through the lenses of mid-century lounge music, 60s pop, 70s nature documentary soundtracks, a single 80s drum fill, 90s shoegaze, and modern sampling techniques. The Drone Aviary reveals fleeting glimpses of the city from the perspective of drones. It explores a world where the ‘network’ begins to gain physical autonomy. Drones become protagonists, moving through the city, making decisions about the world and influencing our lives in often opaque yet profound ways. This film is part of The Drone Aviary Project, by Superflux, which investigates the social, political and cultural potential of drone technology as it enters civil space.
