All the sets within “Don’t Wait Up” were hand-made using cardboard, card-stock, and hot glue guns. Textures were printed off and then applied to the cardboard structures to make the sets feel life-like. In addition to this, 1:12 scale miniatures were also sprinkled into each scene to add even more realism. We directed Taylor’s performance remotely from Oklahoma + Seattle and then edited that footage into the video playing on the phone throughout the video.
